A Little history of the Lifesaving Station...

The original lifesaving station on our property was relocated from Rehoboth 60-70 years ago. The original building is now at Shipcarpenter Square in Lewes, Delaware. The present building was constructed in 1986-1987. The station was first used for town meetings and staging for the lifeguards. The big white house was the commander's residence. There were two small buildings and one main building. One of the small buildings was used for cooking.

Presently, the station serves many purposes. It is the headquarters for the lifeguards and meeting place for the town council meetings, elections, and other special town functions. The station is located on Dagsworthy Street and the Beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware.
