Goals and objectives

The Information Technology Committee will work in conjunction with the Mayor and Commissioners in forming initial goals and objectives. The Information Technology Committee currently proposes the following goals and objectives to be considered:

1. Analyze the current information technology hardware and provide cost/savings analysis to identify and determine needed IT upgrades and resources. Examples might be:

a. Desktops

b. Laptops

c. Servers

d. Telephony

e. Copier/Fax/Scanning Equipment

f. Check Signing Equipment

2. Analyze the current information technology software and provide cost/savings analysis to identify possible upgrades and efficiencies. Examples might be:

a. Billing Software

b. Parking Dept Software

c. Database Software

i. Tracking Trusts on File at Town Hall

ii. Tracking Beach Tax Requirements

iii. Tracking Accomodations Tax Requirements

iv. Tracking Parking Pass Distribution

3. Analyze the current information technology business processes and provide cost/savings analysis to identify efficiencies

a. Analyze and possibly Improve Workflow

b. Analyze and possibly Improve Purchasing and Approval processes

Note: The Information Tecnology Committee was formed as a rename of the CIS committee on December 12, 2009.
