Restaurants / Eateries / Bars / Taverns Business License Application

This application should be completed annually if you are operating an in-town restaurant or eatery. 

*For new restaurants / eateries, a Certificate of Occupancy and Use issued from the Town of Dewey Beach Building Department will be required before a Business License will be issued.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

• A copy of the Delaware State Business License
• A copy of the COI (liability) for the business
• The Delaware Department of Health Certificate Number for the establishment
• A copy of the State of Delaware Fire Marshal Occupancy for the establishment (if applicable)

After your application and payment are received, a copy of your license, as well as a window decal, will be mailed to you. The decal must be displayed on the front door or window of the business where it is easily visible from the street. 

The penalty for conducting business in Dewey Beach without a town business license is a late fee of 10% of the fee owed, plus a fine of $500.00, in addition to the cost of the appropriate business license.
