DEWEY BEACH WELCOMES ALL EVENT APPLICATIONS

Dewey Beach is known for our wide variety of exciting events throughout the year! We welcome both private and public event requests. If you are interested in hosting an event in Dewey Beach, please fill out the form below and submit along with the $50 application fee. Submission of this form does not guarantee approval of your event. Depending on the size of the event, location, date, and time requested, your application may require approval of the Town Manager, Police Chief, and/or Lifeguard Captain. A staff member will be in contact with you after your application is reviewed. Administrative staff reserves the right to deny any event that may negatively impact the environment, infrastructure, or other beachgoers and residents.

WHAT IS AN EVENT?

Unsure if your gathering qualifies as an event? Dewey Beach defines an event as any public assembly or gathering of people which may, because of the location, time or anticipated number of persons involved, be reasonably expected to have a significant effect upon the ordinary use of the public streets, rights-of-way, sidewalks, boardwalk, beach or any other public areas. By way of example and not in limitation, "event" includes fairs, festivals, parades, motorcades, bicycle rides/races, rallies, marches, processions, running/walking events and concerts. Events include gatherings of 24 or more people and gatherings of any number of people to whom a vendor offers goods or services. Still have questions? Contact us!
